 Think of this......

You're back in grade school having the worst nightmare ever. You don't have any supplies; no paper or pencils, markers or crayons, scissors or rulers. Your backpack is even missing! You wake up and realize that thankfully, it was all a dream. Sadly for thousands of students across northeast Oklahoma this is not just a dream, but a reality.

Some of you may have taught students lacking proper supplies, or bought your own children supplies and know that the list can sometimes be overwhelming. These children need a helping hand. Luckily, there are ways you can help! For the ninth year TTCU is teaming up with charities in northeast Oklahoma to raise money and supplies to help children succeed in the classroom.

Our media partners, KXOJ 100.9 radio and Cox Communications are working closely to get the word out, but who better to get the word out than our own members? Visit our Facebook or Twitter pages to use the links and invitations to solicit your friends to help be a part in changing a child's life.

Now through August, donate school supplies at any TTCU branch location and we will ensure the supplies are given to children in need. If you prefer to make a monetary donation instead, you can do so at any teller line. Plus, once again, the Modern Woodmen of America will match your donation! To further the cause, TTCU is teaming up with the Tulsa Drillers on August 8th for the Library Reading Night. During the event, 1,000 backpacks will be given away to children 12 and under and kids will have the opportunity to partake in a variety of fun, educational activities. Come out and support the Drillers and Project School Supplies. It's sure to be a great day!
