TurboTax Response Regarding Fraud
Attention Members: TurboTax owner Intuit Inc. has announced a temporary suspension of state e-filed tax returns (as of Feb. 6, 2015). This is in response to complaints from consumers who have found that someone had already claimed a refund in their name.
Intuit is assuring taxpayers that fraud is not due to a breach of their service. Security experts and Intuit believe that information used to file fraudulent returns was obtained from sources outside the tax preparation process.
Intuit has dedicated all their resources to resolving the issue. They're working in conjunction with state and federal agencies.
If you believe you've been a victim of tax fraud, Intuit has started a dedicated toll-free line to assist our members (800-944-8596). Identity protection agents can provide you with comprehensive support and filing help. Members affected by fraud will receive support at no expense.

A vulnerability has been found with the secure protocol that older versions of Internet Explorer still use. Due to this security problem, older versions of Internet Explorer (versions 6 or earlier) will not be able to access our website starting Oct. 23, 2014.
If you use Internet Explorer version 6 or earlier, please upgrade to a more current version to avoid any problems.

Card Compromises at Home Depot
Notice to Members: Please be aware that Home Depot has announced a data breach involving its customers’ debit and credit card information. The breach started in April 2014 at stores in the U.S. and Canada.
If you used your TTCU debit or credit card at a Home Depot store since April, your account information may have been compromised. TTCU is closely monitoring the situation directly with Visa.
What should members do at this time?
If you've made a card purchase in a Home Depot store since April 2014, please monitor your account for fraudulent activity. You can use eZCardInfo.com or online banking (Virtual Branch) to monitor your card accounts.
If you see unusual or suspicious activity on your account, please contact TTCU immediately. Details about this breach are available from Home Depot on their website.

Members be advised that TTCU does not use the software that was impacted by the Heartbleed Bug. Our website, Virtual Branch and your accounts are safe to use.
