TTCU employees far exceed United Way fundraising goal
TTCU Federal Credit Union employees rallied to support the Tulsa Area United Way, raising over $85,000 and exceeding their internal goal by 130 percent. This is TTCU’s largest-ever contribution to the United Way, and the funds were contributed through the generosity of employees across northeastern Oklahoma.
"I am proud of the generosity of our employees," CEO and President Tim Lyons said. "When challenged to make a difference, they stepped up to support the mission of United Way. We thought our original goal was a stretch goal, but our employees showed how seriously they take giving back to their community.”
TTCU served as a Trailblazer company again, providing leadership to the campaign and working to inspire the rest of the community to step up their giving efforts this fall.
"We owe a debt of gratitude to companies like TTCU that are willing to step forward and set an example for the community. Trailblazers set the tone for the overall campaign by fundraising early and setting ambitious goals. Hundreds of thousands of people will receive the help they need because of dedication of companies like TTCU and its employees in the Tulsa area," said Alison Anthony, president and CEO of the Tulsa Area United Way.
The Tulsa Area United Way advances the common good through education, health and financial stability. Funds are distributed to partner agencies whose programs meet those target objectives. Fifty-nine nonprofits and nine community collaborations receive funding through the Tulsa Area United Way.
