Man standing outside of TTCU Branch

Name: Robert S.
Home branch: North Pointe

Robert first got a membership at TTCU for the convenience after a branch opened near his home, but TTCU’s stellar service convinced him to stay.

After he had a great experience with his checking and saving accounts, it was a no-brainer for Robert to drop by the branch when he was thinking about getting a new car. As it was his first-ever car loan, the TTCU staff explained everything and helped Robert get preapproved.

“It felt different when I went in to get the car (at the dealership), knowing I already was approved for the loan,” Robert said.

Beyond his loan experience, Robert also has been impressed with the time the staff has taken to help him. When he was looking to invest some of his savings, he reached out to one of TTCU’s financial coaches for help. The staff member introduced him to certificates and the investment strategy of laddering, where a series of certificates are set up with different maturity dates, then re-invested as they mature. This approach allowed Robert the flexibility to withdraw funds if needed and take advantage of rising dividend rates.

In addition to taking the time to help meet his financial needs, the staff always greets Robert by name with huge smiles when he drops by his branch.

“Now it feels like family,” Robert said.

Robert appreciates that TTCU is a credit union that is owned by the members.

“TTCU is always looking out for the members,” Robert said. “That makes you different.”
