When Cassy M. found out that her home refinance would save her $600 a month, she was in shock.
“It was financially life-saving,” Cassy said.
Cassy first reached out to TTCU after her teenage daughter wrecked her car. Cassy decided to give her car to her daughter and purchase a new one for herself. She was so impressed with the process that she decided to open other accounts with TTCU and asked about refinancing her home.
Prior to finding TTCU, Cassy had two less-than-positive homebuying experiences with other financial institutions, but she did own her dream home in Sapulpa. Her great-grandparents built the home in 1957, and then it became her grandparents’ home. After they passed away, Cassy knew she wanted to live there.
“It felt like home to me,” she said.
When Cassy reached out to TTCU to look at refinancing her home, she found the process to be much easier than she expected. The staff clearly addressed all her concerns and made sure she understood everything.
“When our appraisal came back higher than expected, [the TTCU staff member] was just as excited as I was!” Cassy said. “It’s like she was sharing in the process with us.”
Cassy was able to pull equity out of the house to pay off her credit card debt, saving herself $600 a month.
“I had previously been a teacher, so I was used to living paycheck to paycheck,” Cassy said. “But this made a huge difference in our financial stability.”
Now Cassy likes to use the TTCU app to manage her money and appreciates the ease of having her mortgage and other accounts at the same financial institution. When she does need to visit the Sapulpa branch, she’s always been happy with the service she’s received.
“Now TTCU will be my first choice (for future financial needs),” Cassy said.
