Stephanie found TTCU by chance, but it changed her financial life. She had been preapproved with another financial institution for a car loan, but when it came time to make the deal, the other institution dropped the ball. The employee at the dealership directed her to TTCU.
“We were approved in approximately five seconds,” Stephanie said. “Then we were out the door.”
One of Stephanie’s financial goals had been to build her credit. Before buying a car, Stephanie had spent two years building up her score, but still wished it was higher. Then a TTCU representative let her know that she qualified for a credit card as well.
“(The credit card) built my credit quite quickly,” Stephanie said. “It really put us in a good position to get the things that we needed.”
After that, it didn’t take long for her to take her next big step: Buying a gorgeous home that she loved. Now, she’s working on the next phase of her financial plan: building her savings.
It’s an exciting time for their family, as her husband, a full-time HVAC journeyman, is preparing to launch his own business. Stephanie also works in a family businessā her dad’s machine shop.
