The rain is gone, the sky is clear and summer is in full swing. It’s time to dust off the cobwebs and have some fun - and TTCU wants to help!
From now until July 31, 2015, open a TTCU Kids’ Savings Account and be entered for a chance to win a one-day family pass to Big Splash, a Driller’s Game or a Roughnecks Game. It couldn’t be any easier!
But the most important thing you’ll be doing is teaching your child the value of saving. Ask around and most people will tell you it’s the number one thing you can teach your child.
So open a Kids’ Savings Account today, teach your child the value of money and possibly win an outing to one of these Tulsa gems.
Big Splash opened in 1984, two weeks before the historic floods of that year. It still has the largest wave pool in the southwest along with three water slides, a kiddie pool and various other attractions such as horseshoes, a volleyball court and a basketball court. On a hot summer day, you would be hard-pressed to find a cooler destination.
The Drillers are our very own minor league baseball team, currently affiliated with the LA Dodgers, and have been playing in Tulsa since 1977. The team played ball at Drillers Stadium (15th & Yale) until 2008 when the fantastic ONEOK Field opened. If you are looking for the quintessential American experience, get yourself to the ballpark, eat some hot dogs and peanuts and enjoy a beautiful summer evening.
The Roughnecks have an unusual history with Tulsa. The original Tulsa Roughnecks played in the North American Soccer League from 1978 until the league folded in 1984. In 2014, it was announced that soccer was coming back to Tulsa and the team would once again be called the Roughnecks, paying homage to the original team. The Roughnecks compete in the United Soccer League and currently call ONEOK Field home.
